The existence of Tool menu in Mozilla Firefox and IE
In both web browsers, menu like Tools is inbuilt on the Menu bar. Though their design and location is similar, its contents and features are different.
The introduction of the Tools menu in both web browsers has objective to explore and enhance the web browsing techniques, which makes the net accessing faster, safer, user-friendly, customizable and more advanced. So as far as the web browsing market is concerned, the net users are highly convinced by the net connecting services, which are provided by the Mozilla Firefox.
Focusing on the main topic i.e. the existence of Tool menu in Mozilla Firefox and IE, the Firefox users are facilitated more than the IE users. In Mozilla Firefox, the Tools menu is incorporated with five separate parts and in IE; it is divided into three parts.
In the first section of Tools in Firefox, we can find the option like Web Search containing the shortcut key Ctrl + K. It is one kind of interesting function in Firefox. by utilizing this function in Firefox, the use directly, gets connect with the net accessing process of search engines for finding the relevant information of the key word.
When you go through any web page in Firefox for net accessing, suddenly you want to try some key words for searching. At that time instead of selecting the tab for new web page, just select the option Web Search by selecting the Tools menu or press shortcut key like Ctrl + K. Therefore, by selecting this command, you directly enter the key words in the Search bar of such particular search engine. By using the Firefox, the user can activate two processes on one window. One is net browsing and second one is web searching.
On contrary, in Internet Explorer it is a very long process to access the search engine while accessing any website. Because the search engine like Google is not inbuilt in IE. Therefore, the net user has to open the new window for entering the name of the search engines and then he can enter his keywords in Search bar of that search engine.
On other side, the first part of the Tool menu in Internet Explorer is incorporated with various options and its additional categories. There are five inbuilt options are present in the Tools menu of the Internet Explorer. First option is mail and news, second is pop-up blocking, third is managing of add-ons, fourth is synchronize and last one is Windows updates.
The second section of the Tool menu in Mozilla Firefox is incorporated with downloading features and various types of Firefox add-ons. When the Firefox user wants to download any file, web page, image, URLs or link from the internet, then he can utilize the Tools menu for activating the download function in Mozilla Firefox. This function is provided with shortcut key like Ctrl + J, which really saves the time of the net user.
After going through this Downloads option, the window entitled with Downloads displays on the screen. The Firefox user can save his downloading files on desktop by creating his own folder. If the user wants to clean up all the downloading files, the Clean up option is also available in that window. By using this add-ons function, various types of latest themes and extensions can be installed and downloaded. Also by using the Main Option from Tools menu, the user can select the home page of Mozilla Firefox according to his desire.
