World Firefox Day- a damn smart idea!! No doubt about it!!

If you ask me, the idea of celebrating July 15th as the World Firefox Day was one of the smartest things to do. For the last three years, any and every person who was a fan of Mozilla Firefox had to survive lots of taunts, criticisms and snide remarks from the supporters of Internet Explorer. This competition between Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft's Internet Explorer was even called as the ‘browser war’.

And in any war, it is very important to keep the foot soldiers motivated. The top generals may be simple individuals who may prefer to live life without a lot of hoopla. However, the celebration and the hoopla of celebrating three years of success will definitely have a positive impact on the motivation of the average person who never tires speaking in favor of Mozilla Firefox.

Celebrating July 15 as the World Firefox Day will enable the average user of Mozilla Firefox who has contributed to the survival of Mozilla Foundation against the onslaught of Microsoft's Internet Explorer to bask in the glory. After three years, they can pause a bit to give themselves a pat on the back for having done such a great job. And make no bones about it; the fans of Mozilla Firefox have indeed done a fantastic job

Today, Mozilla Firefox can claim to have given Microsoft Internet Explorer run for its money. The user of Mozilla Firefox need no longer be defensive when talking about the flaws of Mozilla Firefox. He can bravely step out and point out that Microsoft’s Internet Explorer is not devoid of flaws as well and the rapidly losing market share is indicative of the fact that the average public is tired of using a substandard web browsing software application when it has something like Mozilla Firefox available on the Internet. Since the Internet has played such an important role in the distribution of Mozilla Firefox, it is only fitting that the news of this celebration was spread through the Internet itself.
