It does not allow malicious software applications to get installed on your computer on their own. A lot of it has to do with the fact that Mozilla Firefox requires minimum integration with the operating system. Apart from this particular feature, Mozilla Firefox has been consciously designed to avoid the installation of malicious software applications on the computer. This makes the software application safer as compared to any other web browsing software application
