Recently, I came across a blog post that has said that the developers of the Firefox web browsing software application were very keen on releasing Firefox version 3.0 as quickly as possible because they were of the opinion that Firefox web browsing software application was not user friendly enough. Now it is known that developers of software applications set very high standards for themselves but this simply beats them all.

That the developers of the Firefox could even think that the Firefox web browsing software application is not user friendly enough is shocking. The Firefox web browsing software application is universally recognized as the most user friendly web browsing software application around. Not only that, the Firefox web browsing software application is probably the only web browser that has consistently retained its user friendliness over such a long period of time. When Microsoft’s Internet Explorer was first released, it was the first time that graphical interface was offered to the surfers of the internet. Needless to say, the end users found the features of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer to be very user friendly. However, as time went on, the end users of the Microsoft’s Internet Explorer web browsing software application found that their expectations and requirements from the web browser had changed but Microsoft’s Internet Explorer had stagnated. It refused to accommodate the requirements of the end users. Pretty soon, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer lost the tag of being a user friendly web browsing software application. Since Microsoft’s Internet Explorer had captured the market and had broken the back of all competition, the end users of the web browsing software applications were forced to tolerate the web browser even though they were desperately in search of an alternative. That is when the Firefox web browsing software application came along. The Firefox web browsing software application was built to the needs and requirements of the end users and offered only those features that were needed by the end users. The very first version of the Firefox web browsing software application generated a lot of interest. Since then, the developers of the Firefox web browsing software applications have been consistently releasing major version upgrades ever year. Each and every version upgrade witnessed an attempt by the developers to upgrade in the web browsing software application. The developers have been working tirelessly to preserve the Firefox web browsing software application as the most user friendly web browser. In fact, it would not be incorrect to say that the user friendliness of Firefox version 2.0 was a lot more than the user friendliness of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer version 7.0 despite the fact that the latter offered the tabbed browsing feature.

In such a scenario where the Firefox web browsing software application version 2.0 was being praised for being the most user friendly web browsing software application, the fact that the developers of the Firefox web browsing software applications are actually humble enough to think that Firefox version 2.0 was not user friendly enough. This is being used by the developers to motivate themselves to work harder own version 3.0 of the Firefox web browsing software application.

It is this commitment shown by the developers of the Firefox web browsing software application to satisfy the requirements of the end users that has made the Firefox web browser so popular. Other web browsing software applications are good. However, what makes the end users like the Firefox web browser better is that the developers really care about the web browsing experience of the end users. Unfortunately for Microsoft’s Internet Explorer and other web browsers, the end users do not feel that way for any other web browser.
