Some funny Mozilla extensions and plug-ins that I came across
There is no doubt that the Internet and the computer industry has spawned a generation of seriously unemployed people who have nothing better to do but design software applications, extensions and plug-ins that are of absolutely no use to anybody.
I once came across a Mozilla Firefox extension that allowed you to determine the exact amount of time that you have used your Mozilla Firefox web browser. Now this is a very funny purpose to make an extension. Even the simplest Internet connection will tell you the amount of time that you spent on the Internet. Whether you have a dialup Internet connection or a broadband Internet connection, finding out to time that you have spent on the Internet is as simple as clicking a few buttons. In such a scenario, I fail to understand why people would want an extension that allows you to keep track of the time that you have used a particular web browsing software application. You can destroy the utility of this extension by simply opening a window of the web browsing software application other than Mozilla Firefox. By simply clicking and opening a window of Microsoft's Internet Explorer and by surfing the Internet using Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, you can reduce the utility of this particular extension for Mozilla Firefox to nil.
Of course, it is really funny to know that people believe that surfing on the Internet can be done through Mozilla Firefox only. All you need to do is crash into a web site that requires Java script and you will find that your Mozilla Firefox web browsing software application is of no use at all. Try downloading the plug- in and you will find that you in that half an hour of your Internet time and bandwidth has been wasted in downloading and installing a plug that simply refuses to function.
At the end of the day, I was forced to download in the script from the web site and opt for offline installation. The setup file was as big as 11MB. In my opinion, the installation file of Mozilla Firefox should be calculated as not just five to six MB but the five to six MB plus the eleven MB for the additional download.
