Some disadvantages faced by users of Mozilla Firefox- II
If you want a certain instances where it is very obvious that Mozilla Firefox lacks certain features, I have tried to list some of them below:
In my opinion, the basic concept behind the features incorporated into Mozilla Firefox was to include those features that would be required and used by any and every average user of a web browsing software applications. While Mozilla Firefox has successfully incorporated most of the features that are used by the average user of web browsing software applications, there are certain features that have not been included and which are sorely missed by the users of the web browsing software applications. One feature that is sorely missed by all the users is the ability to view flash plug-ins.
In today's world where flash content is commonly used in many websites, the fact that Mozilla Firefox does not support such web pages displaying flash content without download and installation of a plug-in or extension is a serious disadvantage indeed. Perhaps it may not be very difficult to download and install the plug-in. However, it is the principle of the matter. That the user of the web browsing software application has to initiate a separate process of downloading and installation of a plug-in to view a format that is commonly used on many web pages on the Internet is indicative of the fact that there are certain features in Mozilla Firefox that ought to have been present but are not present.
Apart from displaying flash content, Mozilla Firefox does not support web pages that have audio or video content embedded in it without the installation of a separate plug- in. In my opinion, the lack of these two features is a serious flaw in Mozilla Firefox and causes a lot of inconvenience to the user of the web browser.
