See, be impressed but do not touch- Mozilla Firefox beta for testing

All the devotees of Mozilla Firefox will be very pleased to know that work on the eagerly awaited Mozilla Firefox version 2.0 is progressing satisfactorily. The latest development in the progress of work on Mozilla Firefox version 2.0 is that the Mozilla Corporation launched the first official beta of the web browser software application on July 14th 2006. The fact that testing has begun must be music to the ears of all those who have been waiting for the software application to see the light of the day for quite some time now.

For all those who love to feast on Mozilla insider trivia, here is something that will make you very happy. The release of the first official beta was popularly known as ‘Bon Echo’ during the alpha testing phase. With so much of work being done, it is just a matter of time before the users of Mozilla Firefox can download the finished product. However, I would advise all the eager beavers to hold on to their horses. It would be of no use for the average user to download this beta test release.

Knowledgeable experts say that the beta version is completely unsuitable for the lay user. In fact, they have gone a step ahead and warned that downloading and installing the beta version on the computer for regular usage might lead to may problems. The users may face problems in stability and in proper performance of the Mozilla Firefox skins and extensions.

While the average user can merely gawk at the developers testing the software in real life, it certainly makes no sense for the average user to jump in the puddle and muddy the waters.

If you thought that this was the final test version, then think again. The beta 2 of this web browsing software application is expected to be available in coming August. The final launch, of course as we all know, is scheduled for September 2006
