Is the setup file of Mozilla Firefox only 5 MB in size??
I have already emphasized the implications of the fact that the setup file of Mozilla Firefox is about five MB as compared to 80 MB of the setup file of Internet Explorer. The fact that the setup file of Mozilla Firefox is smaller than that of Internet Explorer indicates that the software is more compact. However, if the fact is analyzed from another perspective, there always is a possibility that the software may be incomplete.
I have received numerous complaints from many users of Mozilla Firefox that certain web pages such as web pages running Java script, Flash animations, real media files, QuickTime media files and other such web pages simply refuses to load due to the fact that the Mozilla Firefox web browser is not configured to display such pages and run the Java scripts or media files. If at all the pages have to be viewed, software updates have to be downloaded from the Internet, the same have to be installed and Mozilla Firefox has to be restarted before proceeding to load the web page.
I am not critical of the fact that updates have to be downloaded from the Internet. Almost all software applications offer this facility of downloading updates from the Internet. However, I am yet to come across any software application other than Mozilla Firefox that requires essential components necessary for the proper functioning of the software to be downloaded from the Internet after the installation file has been run. It would be grossly inaccurate to call this download as download of software updates. In my opinion it is appropriate to call this download as completion of the installation process of Mozilla Firefox. It is only after the download process is completed that the full functionality of Mozilla Firefox can be enjoyed. Now you can understand that the 5 MB setup file of Mozilla Firefox is not that big a deal because the 5 MB setup file of Mozilla Firefox is actually an incomplete setup file of Mozilla Firefox.
