Is Mozilla Firefox a slow web browsing software application??
Another disadvantage that users of Mozilla Firefox have pointed is that Mozilla Firefox is a slower web browser as compared to Internet Explorer. Now I know that and the speed of the Internet connection depends more on whether you are using a modem or broadband Internet connection rather than whether you are using Mozilla Firefox or Internet Explorer as your web browser. That the web browser could be a reason for slowing down of the Internet connection is something very hard to believe. The very nature of a web browsing software application is that of a bridge- a bridge between the user of the computer and the website hosted on the Internet. The speed of the Internet connection is determined by whether a telephone wire has been used to connect to the Internet for optic fiber cable is used in the form of broadband connections to connect to the Internet.
However, various researches indicates that when two Internet connections offering similar speed was fitted into two computers having similar configuration and where one user of the computer surfed the Internet through the Internet Explorer and where the user of the other computer surfed the Internet by making use of Mozilla Firefox web browsing software application, it was noticed that the web pages and images take a bit more time to load if one is using Mozilla Firefox as the web browser. Since two similarly configured computers using Internet connections of the same speeds are showing this difference, the most logical explanation for this slowing down of the Internet connection is that using Mozilla Firefox as the web browser to surf the Internet leaves the user at a slight disadvantage as far as the speed of the Internet connection is concerned.
However, in my opinion this is hardly something to worry about than other advantages of Mozilla Firefox are taken into consideration.
