History repeats itself. First it was Real Network and now it is Mozilla Firefox
A long time ago, there was a software application that was desperately trying to compete against Microsoft Corporation. Its story is not unlike that of Mozilla Firefox. Finally, when the competition became very tough and unfair; when Microsoft Corporation resorted to its usual tactic of bundling a software application with its operating system to destroy the competitor that was beginning to trouble it, the corporation was forced to take drastic steps to avoid losing the battle.
To beat the competition and survive, the corporation decided to find as many partners as possible. The corporation began to tie up with various other corporations that sold many software applications.
The terms of the agreement were very simple. The corporation that was trying to survive promised to offer the partner’s software applications to all its customers and demanded that all the customers of the partner’s software application be offered its own software application as well. You would be very happy to hear that this tactic worked and the corporation succeeded in avoiding a complete loss to Microsoft Corporation.
The corporation that I am talking about is none other than the Real Network and it is indeed heartening to note is that Mozilla Firefox has entered into a tie up with the Real Network under an agreement that seems very similar to the one’s that the Real Network entered into with all its partners when it was trying its best to defeat the Microsoft Corporation.
There is no doubt that Mozilla Firefox is a very good software application that is run by a very shrewd and smart Mozilla foundation. The agreement that I just mentioned above is not the sole instance of cooperation between Real Network and Mozilla Foundation.
The Real Network and Mozilla Foundation has been actively cooperating with each other and assisting each other for close to two years now. I am sure this news will come as nothing but good news for all the supporters of the Real Network and Mozilla Firefox
