Get small things right and greatness will follow!!! The Mozilla Firefox way!!!
The more I think about it, the more I am forced to conclude that greatness does not mean doing great things in one go but doing small things perfectly on a regular basis. The reason why I bring this up is because I have noticed that Mozilla Firefox fulfils the above mentioned lines defining greatness perfectly.
On the whole, Mozilla Firefox seems to be a web browsing software application that does the small and even the seemingly insignificant things right. In fact, Mozilla Firefox is one web browsing software application that does the small and even the seemingly insignificant things perfectly and absolutely right.
If I was a web browsing software application maker, I would have been perfectly satisfied with providing the facility of tabbed browsing to all its users. I would not have been unduly bothered with working any more on the same. Now, if at all I was indeed a web browsing software application maker, I would have been the owner of a very mediocre web browsing software application. Mozilla Firefox has not only worked very hard on creating a web browsing software application but has taken great pains to ensure maximum satisfaction to the user of Mozilla Firefox.
On what basis do I make such a statement?? Well, I make this statement based on my own observations on the various improvements that have been incorporated in the tabbed browsing feature. The user of Mozilla Firefox today has the ability to drag and drop the various tabs, he has the ability to create groups of tabs, he has the ability to open a new tab by double clicking the tab bar and he has the ability to close all tabs in one go.
The fact that Mozilla Firefox has not rested on its laurels and has tried to improve the tabbed browsing feature to make the web browsing experience better for all users is proof of the fact that Mozilla Firefox is a great web browsing software application.
