Foundation of Mozilla Firefox:

There are many versions of firefox project. On November 9, 2004. Versions 1.0 was released. For features like stability and security fixes, on November 29, 2005 there is a release of first major update to Firefox version 1.5 by the Mozilla Foundation., Mozilla released Firefox 2 on October 24, 2006 that includes features like updating the tabbed browsing, the extensions manager like GUI, and the find, search and software update engines; new features, like inline spell checking, anti-phishing was executed by Google which is an extension and added into the program.

FireFox can customize with extensions and themes. Up to September 2007 Mozilla maintains nearly 2000 add-ons.

There is nice environment in FireFox for web developers in which they can use built-in tools like the Error Console or the DOM Inspector, or extensions, such as Firebug.

It is free and open source software, and it is licenced under three categories like the Mozilla Public License (MPL), GNU General Public License (GPL), and the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). Approximately 2000 and more add-ons like Forecastfox which is a weather forecast, FoxyTunes as a MP3 player, AdBlock Plus for blocking ads, StumbleUpon for website discovery) and DownThemAll for downloading functions are available on Mozilla FireFox.
