A new technology which is called Gecko 1.9 was sued while developing Firefox. version 3. Unlike the previous versions for which only Gecko 1.8.1 was used. It will remember which bookmarks are used often by you and therefore such bookmarks will be given preference over the others so that you would be able to access them easily.
Then in addition to this there is a smart folder in which you can save your favorite searches. This is a very useful feature, as sometimes while browsing the internet or searching for something, we reach very interesting web pages, however we do not have the time to go through them. In such a case you nee to note down the searches. However with Firefox 3 you would not need to do this any more. You can store these searches in the smart folder and access them any time you want.
Then the features like zooming, use of tabs, etc are much better in the new version. With Firefox 3 you can do several task with just a click of a button. For example bookmarking a site. Bookmarking a site is very simple with Firefox version 3. it has a start shaped icon which is actually a bookmark button. It appears at the left hand side of the address bar. If you would like to bookmark any webpage, just click twice on this button once and you get the options for bookmarking it or tagging it. You can choose the one you want.
Even managing your bookmarks is much more easy with Firefox 3. You can group them together as you like.
Then there is one more useful feature i.e. the download manager. Whenever you download anything there are several issues like downloading malware or infected software, or your download may have to be stopped abruptly, etc. the download manager of Firefox is the solution to all such problems. It will take monitor your download and therefore you would not need to worry about such issues any more.
The features discussed above are only a few among the several ones that are added to this new version. Even if so many additions have been made to Firefox, the new version will consume less resources of your computer mainly the memory. This is a very useful aspect of the version 3. This is because, if you are running one or more program while you are using Firefox, which is the case most of the times, your computer could run them faster. According to Mozilla, the reduction in the usage of memory is almost 30 %. In addition to using less memory, the new versions also has a new feature called the cycle collector? This feature new feature will search your computer to find out whether there is any used memory. If any unused memory is found it will use it.
