Did you know Mozilla is not the same as Mozilla Firefox??- I
Recently, I had a big disagreement with my friend on a seemingly trivial issue. My friend was not happy with the way his web browser was functioning. When I asked in the name of the web browser that he was using, he said that he was using Mozilla. I tried to assist him in getting rid of the problems that he was facing with his web browsing software application. As I went on explaining things, he was getting more and more confused. He requested me to drop by this place and take a look at the web browser.
After completing my work I dropped by his place and checked his computer. To my surprise, I found that he was using Mozilla Firefox. I asked him why he had not given me proper and correct information. He was very surprised and asked me to specify what improper and incorrect information had he given. I told him that he never told me that he was using Mozilla Firefox. At first, he found my statement very funny. He taunted me and told me to refresh my memory.
He said that he had specifically mentioned that he was using Mozilla. I said there is a lot of difference between Mozilla Firefox and Mozilla. When he said Mozilla, I thought he was using that particular web application and advised him accordingly. At his place, I found that he was using Mozilla Firefox.
The look of confusion on his face clearly told me that he had no idea that Mozilla and Mozilla Firefox were two different things. Hence, I was forced to defer repairing his computer for another day and spent half an hour explaining the differences between Mozilla and Mozilla Firefox. I would not be surprised if you too were unaware of the fact that Mozilla and Mozilla are two different software applications. However, there is absolutely no excuse for remaining ignorant of such a simple fact if you are a regular user of either Mozilla or Mozilla Firefox.
