In what can be termed as nothing less than a spectacular achievement, the Mozilla Foundation has announced the fact that Mozilla Firefox has been downloaded by a surfer of Internet who was very eager to install it and use it to surf the Internet. You may ask me what is so special about this particular download when we all know that the setup file of Mozilla Firefox has been downloaded by all those people who want to get Firefox.
So why on earth should Mozilla Foundation announce something that is already known to all?? The reason why Mozilla foundation announced this particular download was due to the fact that this particular download was the two hundred millionth download. This was the two hundred million copies of Mozilla Firefox web browsing software application’s setup file being downloaded.
Considering the circumstances under which Mozilla Firefox made its debut, considering the company against which it was locked in a battle for survival, considering the cut throat competition that exist in the web browsing software application field today, the fact that Mozilla Firefox simply survived and its web browsing software application was downloaded for two hundred million times is a magnificent achievement indeed.
Even if Mozilla Firefox was to call it a day today and if it was to stop upgrading its web browser, I would still rate this achievement Mozilla Firefox as a very significant one indeed.
However, we can rest assured that Mozilla Firefox is on top of the world and is going to continue to offer better and better web browsing experience to all of us. Further, there is that little challenge to be completed, I would definitely like to live to see that Mozilla Firefox take on and succeed Microsoft’s Internet Explorer as the Internet’s most popular web browsing software applications. That would be a bigger achievement
