I once heard the phrase that did not make a lot of sense to me at that point of time.
The phrase that I heard was -the problems of great people can be understood by great people only
It would not be incorrect to say that I thought that the statement was a stupid one indeed. I was of the opinion that the person who made such a statement was a very confused person indeed. I did not pay any attention to this statement and forgot all about it until I came across the news that Mozilla Firefox is fast becoming the latest target of all hackers.
For all those who do not know, I have been following the progress made by Mozilla Firefox in its competition against Microsoft's Internet Explorer. I think I can safely say that I was very impressed by the performance of Mozilla Firefox and I was hoping that Mozilla Firefox would capture more than twenty five percentage of the market in a few years.
Of course, such progress so as to capture one fourth of the market is not very easy. Further, capturing one-fourth of the web browsing software application market by beating a competitor like Microsoft's Internet Explorer is very difficult indeed. However, despite the tough competition against a tough opponent, I was fairly confident that Mozilla Firefox should succeed in capturing one- fourth of the market in a few years.
However, when I wish that Mozilla Firefox should become a significant player in the market, I realize that a significant player in the web browsing software application market will have to face certain problems that are peculiar to web browsers having significant market share.
Till date, IE was the target of all malicious activities as the largest number of people used Microsoft's Internet Explorer. Now that more and more people are shifting over to Mozilla Firefox, presuming it to be safe or at least safer than Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, more and more hackers are shifting to Mozilla Firefox to make life miserable there as well.
