Alpha, Beta and Old versions of Mozilla Firefox 2.0
Phoenix as the first browser from Mozilla: Phoenix was the first released browser from the Mozilla project. It is considered as the first name for the genuine web browser, Mozilla Firefox. After launching the first browser with Phoenix and its five distinctive versions, the phoenix was renamed by the browser name called as Mozilla Firebird.
After renaming the browser with Mozilla firebird, the Mozilla project renamed the browser name with Mozilla Firefox, Firefox 2.0. This browser like Mozilla Firefox is categorized into its several old, current release versions.
Mozilla Firefox 2.0a1: This was the Alpha release version of the Firefox 2.0. It was considered as the old version of Mozilla project. This version had a support of Gecko layout engine version1.8.1, which is mainly used to design layout design of the version2.0a1. This version had a codename called as Bon Echo Alpha 1, which was released by the Mozilla Organization on 22 March, 2006.
Mozilla Firefox 2.0a2: It was the second Alpha released version from the Mozilla Firefox 2.0. It was released by the Mozilla project on May 12, 2006. This version having code name like Bon Echo Alpha2 and it was also supported by version 1.8.1 of the Gecko layout engine. In that version, the Mozilla project introduced some significant web browsing modifications, which are desirable for the Firefox users.
This version is provided with default links, which open in the new tab. In this version, every tab is incorporated with Close button. It is also designed with spell checking which is of inline and used for text boxes. In this browser, there is a facility of session restoration, which is carried out after a browser crash.

It was released by the Mozilla project on 12 July, 2006. This version was also incorporated with enhanced feed support. It was designed with new NSIS- based installer. The extensions which are used in this Beta released version are developed with security and localization support.
