I have run FireFox for some time. Suddenly all my book marks and search engines were gone and cannot be reinstalled. The program will also not open any additonal tabs. I am running Windows XP and the program works fine when I sign in under my wife's account. I really like Firefox but I onlyhave about 1/2 the program available to me anymore. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling and it comes up just the same as before. Help!!!!

I wanted Firefox go always to my website and I used the Tools option for it. It always asks my password despite the fact that I clicked remember my name and password.
Please advice.
Thanks

I am constructing a website through uBuilder that is supposed to have the company name at the top of each page. I don't see it and, when I've called uBuilder tech support, I get "I can see it. I don't know why you can't." What browser settings should I have set that will let me see the name? I really think this is a uBuilder problem but they won't acknowledge it.

I have been running FireFox for several months now and I love it. I downloaded a plugin called FoxMarks and I found it to be very bad and tried to remove it and its not listed in the "add delete programs" so I serched for it and then deleted it. However every time I start FireFox this FoxMarks start its install program. I serch for it through all files and it can't find it inside any file but it still tries to install it.
tks

do have one small problem with Firefox. I have Yahoo mail and I can't "copy and paste" when I "compose" an email. Can you tell me how to do that with Firefox?
I had the same issue, but when I did CTRL-V (paste) I could copy stuff into the body of a e mail that I was composing. It's just that the drop down does not show 'paste'...

I want to uninstall Firefox from my computer because it causes my computer to crash many times and it makes it freeze. I cannot uninstall it. Please tell me how. Every time I highlight it to be removed from the computer it will not do it. I have had many problems with Firefox and I want it gone.

my firefox browser [seems to be the case with mozilla and dogpile] remembers sites i have visited and 'helps' me by listing 6 or a dozen of them in a menu when i start a search.
ithink i have set all relevant controls at '0' or 'delete' but the stuff i don't want is still always there.
is there a way to get rid of it - preferably automatically at the end of any session; by command manually 'on demand' if necessary

Bookmarks are gone after I restarted my computer using the off key. Is there a way to get them back? I made a thread on this with a more detailed description.

Yeh I am having the same problem, thats the first time when my bookmarks were gone. Couldn't install any of the search engines after that, I think it might have been the upgrade.

to james beeden: to the left of the google search bar should be an arrow. if you click that. A menu drops down then click options. Then click the tab labeled search. The first listing says "Save search history across browser sessions" remove the check mark and your problem should be solved.

Dennis,
Firefox works just fine with Adobe products. If you're specifically talking about Adobe Acrobat, you'll need at least version 5 of the Reader to work with Firefox. Try downloading the most recent version and see how that goes for you. If you're talking about another Adobe product, let me know.
Erica,
I am actually talking about the adobe suite v2. I use Version Cue to update all my adobe products, because I have quite a few. I have all the new updates and when I had firefox it would not detect an internet connection. When I uninstalled firefox and then clicked the update on Version Cue it worked. So I went looking around and I am not the only one with this problem. That is where I found out to uninstall firefox and it would work just fine.

your problem has nothing to do with the browser... you must have a firewall or antivirus program thats not set up the right way..

I don't quite understand the Firefox bookmarks, I want to alphabetize my folders but not the entire bookmark list, as I like to have the latest additions to the bookmark list appear at the bottom of the list.
Can someone walk me through the process to alphabetize my folders only?
Thanks!

When I go to this website "www.shelbycountyalabama.com/probate/default.htm" I get this error message "<%@ Language=VBScript%>".
From IE is works but not Firefox. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'd be careful removing firewalls, oleg. Firefox is likely protecting you from a bad site.

I think for Active-X you have to pretty much use IE. That has been my unfortunate experience anyway.

I had Firefox for months and sometime during the night it disappeared from my computer without my knowledge, so I had to downloaded over again. I wonder how that could have happened and if it is an on going problem with other users?

I have Firefox on my laptop and recently downloaded it onto my desk pc. Have like using Firefox for a long time. But...this recent download, rather than having Google as my search engine it has ToseekA which I do not care for. I want to use Google, how do I change it? Tried doing the Manage Search Engines and could not get anywhere. Very confusing process. Please advise how to make this, what seems like would be a very simple, change to Google.
