Troubleshooting in Mozilla Firefox
Firefox is one of the worlds best Web Browser. It is developed by Mozilla Corporation. It is award winner for the best browser for its high quality performance. It is fully loaded with lots of features like provisions for tabs, good toolbar with lots of tools. Mozilla firefox is very safe and secure to use and it is very user-friendly and easy to use. Most of the government agencies and renounced companies as well as organizations prefer to use Mozilla firefox Web Browser rather than the other browsers.
Troubleshooting
during running Mozilla firefox sometimes the user may face a crash or slow page display, etc because of the poor designs or in compatible extension. If the user is facing some strange or unknown problems related to parts or the working of browser or if the windows are not starting this may be because the computer might be suffering from Extension or trouble with the themes.
to avoid any sort of problems the basic thing the user should do is run the windows in Safe Mode. If the user is using windows, the user should run firefox.exe on safe mode (the safe mode shortcut option is created in the start menu). On Linux, the user should start with. /firefox -safe-mode. If the user is using Mac OS X then he should start it by run/ cd /Applications/ Firefox.app/ Contents/ MacOS/ . /firefox-bin -safe-mode
whenever the user starts the firefox browser all the extensions are disabled and the default theme is loaded. If the user is facing problem because of the theme/extension then, he should disable it and then start normally.
if the user uninstalls an extension which is used with the users profile i.e. when the user has installed it form some web page, and then if the user wishes to install it for all user profiles by using -install-global-extension command line flag. Then the user should restart the computer in order to clean all the profile extensions data source of traces of that extension before installing it with the switch. The user may end up with a jammed entry in the extensions list and user will be unable to install the extension globally, if he /she do not follow the above process.
if the user while using firefox comes across a problem which are related to bookmarks, downloads, window placement, toolbar, history or settings problem the user is recommended to create a new profile and the user should try to reproduce the problem before filling any bugs. In order to create a new profile the user should run the Mozilla Firefox using P-command line argument, after that he should choose the option “Manage Profiles†and there it will show an option “Create Fileâ€, the user should click this option and create a new profile. After creating the file the user should move the settings files (e.g. bookmarks, saved passwords etc) to check if the problems occur again. If the problem is occurs again then the user should file up a bug attached with the file facing problem and then send it to Mozilla’s customer support for help.
