ALT-D-To jump the insertion point on the address bar: Instead of using the mouse to position, the insertion point on the address bar you can use this slick technique to open a new page. All you have to do is press ALT-D and the insertion point will directly jump on the address bar. Now just type the address of the web page that you want to open.

CTRL-Enter- in order to type the term “www...com” quickly: When the above shortcut is combined with the ALT-D, this will work wonders. Once in the address bar, you don't have to type http://prefix, www or .com domain names to open a new web page. You have to just type middle address of web address and then press CTRL-Enter. For instance, if you want to open the website of CNN news then there is absolutely no need to type http://www.cnn.com. Just type CNN and then press CTRL-Enter and you will get the desired web page within seconds.

CTRL-Spin the scroll mouse: If you think that it is not possible to shrink or enlarge the font size then you are completely wrong. The combination (CTRL and moving the scroll wheel) can allow you to change the font size) So if you are on a website and you find that the screen font is very small because of which you are not able to read the content then just spin the scroll wheel and hold the CTRL button. The font size will change incrementally.

CTRL-T for launching a new tab: Internet users frequently use this combination (CTRL-T) to open multiple websites in one window. Therefore, while you are searching information on Google, you can simultaneously read Gmail and check your weather reports and stocks. CTRL-T opens a new tab. In other words, you will see new browser window without any memory overhead.

Shift + Click a link : Using this combination, you can open a new window with that link: In case, you are doing any research and don't want to loose the current location window while opening another link, you have to use Shift and click on that link. The new web page will open in the second window

Backspace: This button is used to visit the previous web page that is the browser history: Instead of using the mouse cursor to click on the back button, you can always use this option, to move to the previous page. This option is excellent for browsing and researching

F11: For expanding the full screen view-> If you want to add 25 percent more viewing area on to your screen then you must use this alternative. However when you press F11, you won't be able to see status bar, address bar, menu bar and title bar. If you don't like this view then again press F11 to go back to the regular view.

CTRL-K- Do you want to jump quickly to the Google bar for searching a particular topic: You will be surprised to know that Firefox is integrated with a Google search bar that is located at the top right of the window. Use the combination CTRL-K to instantly jump to this Google bar instantly and search for the topic you want.

F5: There is absolutely no need to press the reload-refresh icon for reloading the web page. A simpler and a convenient way to get the same desired result, is to just press the F5 button. So in case, you web page fails to load or you want to update a score that is being shown on a particular website then you have to just press F5 to refresh.

CTRL-D: This keyboard short cut is extremely useful when it comes to bookmarking the current web page. Again, this shortcut will save your efforts of using the mouse. Even if you don't have a mouse, you will still be able to bookmark the web page. Press CTRL-D and immediately the bookmark dialog box appears.
