What to do if websites look wrong in Firefox

Page style disabled: Inadvertently, you may have set page style to “No style”. If the page style is 'no style' then obviously the website will not appear, as it should. Make sure that the Firefox is set to page's default style. For setting it to the default style do the following:

1] At the top of Firefox window, you have to click on view menu, choose page style, and then click on 'basic page style'. Now the web page will be displayed correctly, as it is, using the default style.

Old version cached: Firefox browser caches websites that means some of the files are saved on your machine so that Firefox does not have to re-download them again when you visit these websites. If a site has updated its code then Firefox might be still using the old code along with the new one due to which the website is being displayed incorrectly. For fixing this problem, it is necessary to clean up the cache. In order to clear the cache, perform the following steps:

1] Open clear private data window: Click on tools menu that is located at the top of Firefox window. You have to then choose 'Clear private data'.

2] You have to uncheck everything except checkbox for cache

3] Click on clear private data now. The cache gets cleared, visit the site again to verify if the problem still exists.

Web pages are zoomed in or out: Some websites might look incorrect at varying zoom levels. In order to reset page zoom setting for the website, you have to click on view menu, choose text size, then select 'Normal'.

Minimum font size set: Some websites are not displayed properly with minimum font size. If you want to reset to minimum font size execute the steps given below:

1] At the top of Firefox window, you have to click on Tools menu and then choose 'Options'

2] You have to then select content panel

3] In Fonts and color section, click on Advanced

4] The 'minimum font size should be none

Website does not support Firefox: Very few websites do not open in Firefox i.e. they simply don't work in this browser. While it is not possible to fix this issue immediately, you can report the site that you are not able to see properly to development team of Firefox. They may fix your problem or else they will contact the owner of that website. For reporting, a broken website does the following:

1] The first thing that you should do is open report broken website window. Click on help menu that is at the top of Firefox window, then choose 'Report Broken website

2] The dialog box will appear. Very carefully fill all the information in detail about the problem that you are facing

3] After explaining the problem, click on 'Submit report'.

When you are loading sites in Firefox, you may receive errors. You may receive error messages such as server not found. Check whether your server is properly connected to the internet. You may also get a message such as “Warning: Unresponsive script”. The error is conveying that the script is running beyond control and will make Firefox hang if no action is taken urgently. A webroot spykeeper may be causing this problem. In such circumstances, you should disable spy sweeper's cookies feature. This action may solve your problem. This problem can also be solved by clicking on the continue button. You might be able to use Firefox normally.
