Version Firefox 2.0 & introduction of Firefox 3.0:
We were introduced by the releasing date, codenames, Gecko version support & appropriate changes in the various versions of the Firefox 2 version. This version had launched several versions of the Firefox 2. We are yet to discuss all the remaining versions of the Mozilla Firefox 2.0. In this article, we are going to take a glance on the remaining versions of the Firefox 2.0 & introduction of Firefox 3.0.
Version 2.0: The next version of the Firefox 2.0 was version 2.0, which had a code name called as Bon Echo. The Mozilla Organization released this version on October 24, 2006. It had a support of Gecko version 1.8.1. This was also the authorized release of the version 2.0.this version had authorized localized builds. This version was very similar to the 2.0 RC3.
Version2.0.0.1: On December 19, 2006, there was a release of the version2.0.0.1 of Firefox2. This version had a support of Gecko version 1.1.8. This version was added with features like solidity enhancement & security fixes. Also on February 23, 2007, there was a release of version 2.0.0.2 of Firefox2 by the Mozilla Organization. This version also got a support of Gecko version 1.8.1. It had same features as we saw in previous version 2.0.0.1 like solidity enhancement & security fixes.
Version 2.0.0.3: There was the release of the next three versions of Firefox 2 by the Mozilla Organization. So on March 20, 2007, there was a release of version 2.0.0.3. On May 30, 2007, there was a release of version 2.0.0.4. On July 17, 2007, there was a release of version 2.0.0.5.
These entire three versions had a support of Gecko version 1.8.1. If we consider the change in features of these versions, then all these versions had same appropriate changes in the features. All three versions contained the features like degeneration fixes, solidity enhancement and safety fixes.
In addition, there were the releasing dates of the Firefox 2.0 version by the Mozilla Organization. The version like version 2.0.0.6, version 2.0.0.7 & version 2.0.0.8 were released on July 30, September18 & October 18 respectively. All these three versions had features like stability and security fixes. Also this web browser versions had a support of operating system like Mac OS X 10.5.
In addition, there was a launch of version like 2.0.0.9 on November 1, 2007 by the Mozilla organization. This version had a support of Gecko version 1.8.1.
Current version of Firefox 2.0: There was the only version, which was called as a current version of Firefox 2.0.this is only the one current version in the Mozilla Firefox 2.0. This version was released on November 27, 2007 by the Mozilla Organization. This version also got a support of Gecko version 1.8.1.This version had a changed features like safety issues.
The next release of the Mozilla Organization is the Mozilla Firefox 3.0. Some of its versions are considered as old versions & remaining are considered as pre-release & future versions of the Mozilla Firefox.
Mozilla Firefox 3.0: The first release of the Mozilla Firefox 3.0 was the version 3.0a1 which was released by the Mozilla Organization on December 8, 2006. This version had a code name called as a Gran Paradiso Alpha 1 that had a Gecko version 1.9. This version had some appropriate changes like Cairo graphics library. Also had Cocoa Widgets in OS X builds.
