System requirements and installation of Mozilla Firefox
How to install Firefox on Windows: While installing the web browser like Mozilla Firefox, the first thing you have to keep in mind is about the system requirements, which must be fulfilled by your computer. These requirements are very essential for operating systems and for installing Firefox.
The system requirements that are essential for installing the Firefox are depending on the type of operating system. For installing the Firefox 2.0 on all the versions of operating system of Microsoft like Windows 98, 98 SE, Windows ME, Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Vista, the hardware requirements must be fulfilled for installing Firefox.
Such hardware requirement contains Pentium microprocessor of 233 MHz, RAM of 128 MB or greater and there should be place of 52 MB in the hard disk.
Also for the operating system like Mac OS X, the system requirements containing the hardware for installing the Firefox web browser is microprocessor of PowerPC having range of G3, G4, or G5 processor. It must contain the RAM of 128 MB. In the hard disk, the space of 200 MB is required for installing the Firefox.
The software requirements are very much essential for installing the Firefox web browser on the operating system like Linux kernel - 2.2.14. It contains the libraries or packages like glibc version 2.3.2, gtk +2.0, XFree86-3.3.6, fontconfig which also known as xft and libstdc++5.
As far as the hardware requirement is concerned for installing the Firefox on Linux OS, the minimum capacity of the microprocessor is 500MHz. the minimum capacity of the RAM is 64 MB and the required space in the hard disk should be 52 MB.
When you want to install the Firefox on your computer, you can access the download page of the Mozilla Firefox, which is available on any web browser. Therefore, by this page, the platform and language is perceived on your system and it advocates the best edition of Mozilla Firefox. Also for installing or downloading another edition or version of the Firefox, you click on the option like Other system and Languages.
While downloading the setup file of the Mozilla Firefox anywhere on your computer, you should shut down all other running programs on your system. Then you have to double click on the file for getting start with Firefox install wizard. Then the welcome window will be shown on your computer and on that screen, you have to click on Next button.
On such screen, there are some instructions about the license agreement terms of the Mozilla Firefox. Therefore, if you accept all these terms and conditions, you have to select the option such option and click on Next option for going through the next step of setup. If you are not accepting and not click on such option of terms and condition, you cannot continue the setup process of the Mozilla Firefox.
Because of this, you cannot install Mozilla Firefox on your Windows OS of your system. In addition, if you want to stop the installing process, you can click on Cancel option. in the next step of the setup wizard, you can select two types of setups like Standard and Custom. So either selecting one of them, you have to click on the Next option. Up to this process, the setup starts the process of copying files on your system. After completing this copy process by clicking the option like Finish, the setup wizard is closed. Also for getting this Firefox as your default web browser, you have to click on the Yes option for completing the installing procedure successfully.
