Smart tricks for navigating Firefox
Mozilla is going to join the few organizations to endorse WOFF that is Web Open Font Format specification. They are going to implement these specifications with current version of Firefox and beyond. There are five tricks that will help you to search contents on the Internet. First, search method is without using search engine. Sometimes, while browsing you come across certain new words. To know the meaning of this word, generally you select the word, open new window visit Google website, paste the word in search box and then you get meaning of the word. However, with Firefox you just need to select the word drag it to address bar, click enter and you will get number of results.
This will save lot of time and it is faster method for searching the meaning of new word. Google will load the recommended websites. Another method is to drag the word to the search box provided on the right corner of the Firefox. This will provide list of all the results. If you visited few sites which you do not want anybody to know but you want other sites to get deleted. If you clear history, it will delete all other website URL’s too. There is one solution to this problem. When you open browser it will show all visited sites in drop-down list. Pinpoint the website URL which you want to delete and press delete. This will help you to delete one link without affecting other history you wish to save.
Firefox one of the best features is tabbed browsing. If you are not using necessary keyboard shortcut keys then you are not making most out of this great feature. Many people click with mouse pointer for navigating between open tabs. Press Ctrl+TAB that will help you among adjacent tabs. This is same like switching in between two windows. Use Alt+Tab for switching between two browsing windows. You can save even more time by straightaway going to second tab or fifth tab by pressing Ctro+2, Ctrl+5. This will directly go to 2 tab and 5 tab respectively. There is special add-on called as “Fancy number tabs”. This plug-in will make finding opened tabs simpler. This will be substituted for numbers used.
To quickly start downloading Firefox has provided one method. Select the link and drag it to “download” button. This button is located on the panel that will start downloading immediately. You can’t see this button with Firefox’s default settings. You need to add this button to the panel of instruments. Right click on the browser window that will have option called “set”. It provides excellent option called “All in one sidebar”. This will provide you the button to instant downloading files.
If the file you are downloading contains images or videos, you may occasionally faced problem of failure of downloading. People face this problem because sometimes web pages are protected or copyrighted. To save this picture first you need to create 1*1 pixel sized empty image. This process has become simpler with Mozilla Firefox. Simply right click the require webpage and select “Page Information” menu item from popped up menu. Select “Multimedia” tab and here you will see list of all files on selected webpage. Select the required files and click on “Save as” button. This is faster way to download web pages which contains different format of data.
Now days, there are many websites like Gmail.com, Orkut.com or facebook.com where you log-in with same user id and password. This all sites are inter-related. When you one of these sites, just open new tab and visit another related site. It you automatically log-in to your home page. You do not need to enter the same user name or password again. No other browser offers this functionality and features. This is the main reason of Firefox that gained the popularity with youngsters.
