Searching functions of the Mozilla Firefox
In the Firefox, the web page searching of any particular subject or a word is as simple as typing any key word in the search bar. Therefore, it is very simple for the users to type any significant key word in the search bar and pressing the Enter key. So after completing the search various links of such key word appear in the window of the Firefox.
Search Engine variety in Firefox: As far as Firefox is concerned, there is no need to type the URL address for accessing the search engine in Location bar like Internet Explorer. Because the search engine like Google is inbuilt in the Firefox. Therefore, that really saves the time of the user while searching for significant information.
Also instead of Google if the user will likes to carry on search from other search engines, then this option is also available in the Firefox. The user can facilitate with the list of search engines containing Yahoo.com, Amazon.com, A9, Answer.com and many more. Such kind of features do not present in the Internet Explorer and other web browser.
By selecting the icon of the various types of search engines and choosing the option like Manage Search Engines, the user can put in, reorganize, bring back and eradicate the default types of search engines. The user can choose the suitable type of the search engine by clicking the suitable button to shift it around containing the list or to eliminate it.
Selective word Searching: In Firefox, the word that is highlighted in the web page is selected and by pressing the right click on the mouse, the user can choose the Search engine for that particular word from the pop-up menu. A latest tab is viewed and Firefox takes use of existing search engine for that particular selective word in the web page.
Searching inside the web page: If the user wants to find the text which he is accessing in the existing web page, then in Firefox, the shortcut key for this is pressing Ctrl+F or choosing the link like Edit > Find from the Edit bar. So by using such techniques, the Find Toolbar displays at the lower part of the Firefox.
After getting such Find Toolbar, the user has to type the word into the search box, which he wants to find. Therefore, that starts the search automatically. Such Find toolbar is incorporated with various options like Next, Previous, Highlight all and Match case. Also in the Firefox, the particular word or phrase is found by pressing the shortcut key like F3 and the link like Edit > Find.
Options like Copy, Save and Print: For copying any web page in the Firefox, firstly you have to select the text of that web page and then select the option like Edit>Copy which is available in the Menu bar. There is a facility available to paste the text in the other program.
In the Mozilla Firefox, for copying any type of URL or any imaginary link, which is located in the page, firstly a position of the pointer is taken over the link. Then press right click on the link for showing a pop-up menu. Then the user has to select the option like Copy Link Location.
The Save option for a page: For saving the complete web page in the Firefox, firstly you have to select the option like File > Save Page As. Also the dialog box like Save As also available in that menu. Then the user selects the location bar for the page, which is being saved by him. He selects the page format to save that particular page.
