Mozilla web browser- changing the rules of web browsing
One of the biggest advantages of using Mozilla Firefox is the large number of extensions and plug-ins that are available on the Internet. There is no doubt that Mozilla Firefox happens to be one of the most configurable web browser around. The fact that I can configure the web browser to reflect my needs, requirements, taste and style is something that is unique and very new as far as web browsers are concerned.
It is almost as if the whole concept of web browsers has been brought closer to us. All other web browsers make you feel as if you were a child who was doing something that was dangerous and inadvisable. You were to act within the definite and rigid scope given to you. You were not allowed to extend or alter the scope to your convenience. It was a wholly utilitarian affair. While there is no doubt that the utilitarian approach has worked, the fun and joy in using web browser was completely missing. Web browsing software applications always played second fiddle to the fact that they were gateways to the Internet. For some strange reason, the emphasis was on the first two words that is ‘web browser’ rather than the last two words ‘software application’. Mozilla Firefox has done a lot to shift the focus from the first two words to the last two words. For the first time, people are beginning to discover the fun that one can have with web browsers.
This approach of Mozilla Firefox is obvious from the very color scheme and layout of the software application. The software has a very cool and relaxed feel to it. Further, the fact that Mozilla Firefox happens to be one of the best software applications to hit the market in a very long time; it is no surprise the software is so much of a craze amongst web browsers.
