Mozilla Firefox never got hurt because it has never been attacked yet!!!

The reason why I say that statistics related to the safety record of Firefox present only half of the picture is due to the fact that the market share of Firefox is hardly worth considering. I can see the look of outrage on your face but despite being a big fan of Mozilla Firefox myself, it would be childish on my part to say that a web browsing software application that has a market share of less than fifteen percentage of the total market is a very important web browsing software application.

Before you conclude that I am a critic of Mozilla Firefox, let me point out that the market share of less than fifteen percentage points is not a lot you are considering the security angle. From the security point of view, any and every hacker will want to master the process of hacking a web browsing software application that is used by a majority of the surfers of the Internet.

As one date, the web browser that is used by a majority of the surfers of the Internet is Microsoft's Internet Explorer. Hence, I do not think hackers are going to waste a lot of time trying to find out how Mozilla Firefox can be hacked when the truth is that only fifteen out of every hundred users are rather less than fifteen users out of every hundred users make use Mozilla Firefox to surf the Internet.

The point that I am trying to make here is that Mozilla Firefox, till date, has never been the target of intensive effort by the hackers. It would be incorrect on our part to presume that hackers are stupid people. They are very intelligent people but the only problem is that they work on the wrong side of the law. Whether Mozilla Firefox will maintain its aura of invincibility, superior performance and security under the concentrated attack of each and every hacker in this world is a very pertinent question.
