Mozilla Firefox is the great search application to surf on internet

Because of the search suggestions, you do not need to type the entire keyword each time. The integrated web search offers you the ability to use several web engines for your web search. You can add hundreds of web engines in this feature. The find tool is useful for locating your keyword on a webpage.

Search suggestions

With Firefox, there is no need to type the long search terms each time. Firefox remembers the searches made by you. Therefore, the next time when you are trying to enter a search term, which you had already used, Firefox provides you suggestions from which you can choose. For example, while entering the search term “property” you just have to type P and Firefox will provide you suggestions of words that you have already used and that begin with “p”. In these suggestions, you will also find the word property. Just select it and press enter.

In addition to this, you can also use the search bar as a calculator, convertor and more.

Integrated Web Search

This feature makes searching the web very simple and fast. There is a box inline on the toolbar, on right side of your location bar. In this inline, you can add web engines of your choice. Whenever you want to search for anything, you can just type the search terms in this box, choose the web engine from the drop down menu, and select the one of your choice. After this you, just need to click enter and you will get the search results.

The width of this inline is adjustable and therefore you can alter it as per your wish. You can even make it longer that the locations bar itself.

Hundreds of search engines

In the integrated web search feature described above you can add more hundreds of search engines if you want. Thus, it provides you the ability to choose your favorite search engine with just one click. Thus, you can change the search engine for each search you make.

Mozilla Firefox comes with some preset search engines in the integrated search box. Some of these are Google, Yahoo, Amazon.com, Answers.com, Creative Commons, eBay, and Wikipedia. Apart from these options there is another option, “manage you r search engines” with this option you can browse through the search engines options available as add-ons.

Find

You can access this feature with just one key stroke. It is useful for finding a particular word or sentence in a webpage. For using this feature, you can click “CTRL + F” and the finder will open up. In this finder, you can enter the search terms and click “ENTER” or search. Another way of entering what you want to search is by selecting a particular word or text directly from the webpage and click “CTRL + F”. This will open up the finder and it will be prefilled with the search terms that you had selected.

The results from the webpage will be highlighted. By default only once occurrence of your search terms will be highlighted and you can choose to go to the next or the previous one. Thus, you can browse through all occurrences of that search terms on that webpage. Alternatively, you can also choose to highlight all of them at the same time.

This feature proves to be very useful as at times, we search for the web for particular keyword and we get a webpage on which we cannot find out keyword. By using the finder tool, you can go to the section of that webpage which contains your keyword.
