Don’t want to lose your old Firefox browser for the new one?? Install both on your computer!!!

There is no doubt that change is an integral part of our life. However, one of the biggest complaints that people have with change is that it creeps up too quickly. People have this complaint against the developers of web browsing software applications as well. Just as you were getting used to a particular version of the web browser, you discover that an update is available and new features have been added and the layout of the web browser has been changed. The end result is that you feel as if you are using a whole new web browsing software application.

In case of Mozilla Firefox, the fact that the web browser is being updated on a daily basis, the fact that Mozilla Firefox receives feedback from millions and millions of users all over the world and the recommended changes are incorporated and distributed to the users of Mozilla Firefox through online updates enhances the feeling that one is using a new web browser every day.

The users of Mozilla Firefox face a problem that the users of all other web browsing software applications would love to face. The users are forced to choose whether they want to update the web browser or continue with the old version of the web browser. Not updating the web browser is not a smart decision because each and every update of Mozilla Firefox offers new features and improvements that make the web browsing experience a lot more enjoyable.

However, opting for the update would imply that the user of Mozilla Firefox would have to adjust to new features incorporated in the latest version Mozilla Firefox. The reason why I say that users of other web browsers would love to have this problem is that the updates of other web browsers are made over long periods of time as compared to the updates of Mozilla Firefox which is done on a regular basis.

To solve this problem, the Mozilla Firefox community steps in. Recently, I came across a Firefox tip that enabled me to run two versions of Mozilla Firefox on my computer. The basic purpose of this tip was to enable the user of Mozilla Firefox to continue working with the old version so that the work of the user does not get affected and to use the new version at leisure to get used to the features of the latest version of Mozilla Firefox.

If you update your Microsoft’s Internet Explorer web browser to the latest version, you will have no other choice but to get used to the features and functionality of the latest version. However, Mozilla Firefox offers you the advantage of having two Mozilla Firefox web browsers on the same computer- the old and the new version so that you can get adjusted to the new version without compromising on your work. Once the process of getting adjusted to the new version is complete, you can uninstall the old version and start using the new version of Mozilla Firefox

All you have to do is to opt for ‘Custom installation’ when upgrading Mozilla Firefox and install the updated version to a uniquely named ‘Program Files’. This does the trick and you can enjoy two Firefox browsers in a single computer. The best part is that the two versions operate independently of each other. This reduces the risk of overlapping of essential system files. If you want, you can always import bookmarks from the previous version into the new version so that you can surf your favorite web sites using the latest version of Mozilla Firefox. Always remember to uninstall the previous version once you feel comfortable in using the latest version of Mozilla Firefox.
