An introduction to the file menu of Firefox browser!!
The layout of the file menu of Mozilla Firefox is pretty simple. Click on the file menu and you get the following options
New Window We all know what this option does, don’t we?? This option can be activated without taking assistance of the mouse at all. All we have to press the Control button on the keyboard and press the ‘N’ button on the keyboard. Presto!! You will have a new Mozilla Firefox window on your screen. In my opinion, this button has been rendered superfluous by the fact that Mozilla Firefox offers that facility of tabs. However I guess there may be many instances where the user of Mozilla Firefox needs to open a particular web page in a new window or may wish to open a new window to perform some other task unrelated to his ongoing task. In such a scenario, the new window option in the file menu is very useful indeed.
New Tab Well, let me introduce you to the most popular feature in any and every web browsing software application operating on the Internet today. Die hard fanatic of Mozilla Firefox will insist that this option should be over and above the option of opening a new window. However, I guess the persons who made the Mozilla Firefox web browsing software were about such childish symbolism. Just like the option to open a new window, Mozilla Firefox offers keyboard shortcuts to open a new tab as well. All one has to do is to press the Control button on the keyboard and press the ‘T’ button on the keyboard. Doing so will result in a new tab being opened in the Mozilla Firefox window. The cursor will be placed right in the address bar for you to type the address of the web page that you want to visit.
