Phoenix with its codenames: The first version from the Mozilla Organization was the Phoenix, which was the first name for its popular web browser like Mozilla Firefox. This Phoenix web browser had its five versions, which had a support of Gecko layout version 1.2 and 1.3. These five versions of the Mozilla Organization were released on distinctive releasing dates containing different code names.
For instance, Pescadero was a code name for the first version like Phoenix 0.1.The Santa Cruz was the code name for second version of the Phoenix0.2. Lucia was named as the codename for the Phoenix0.3. The code name for the Phoenix 0.4 was Oceano and Naples is named as the code name for the last version of Phoenix 0.5.
Mozilla Firebird with its codenames: The browser name like Mozilla Firebird is derived as the second name for the browser of Mozilla. The first browser like Phoenix was renamed by Mozilla Firebird. This browser also had a support of Gecko layout version 1.5. This Firebird browser was launched with its two versions, which also had its codenames. The first version like Firebird 0.6 had its codename called as Glendale and the second version Firebird 0.7 had its codename Indio.
Mozilla Firefox with its old versions and codenames: After shifting from Phoenix to Mozilla Firebird, finally Mozilla Organization renamed its web browser by new and long-lasting name like Mozilla Firefox. Likewise, previous versions of Mozilla Organization, the Mozilla Firefox web browser were also facilitated with distinctive releasing dates, codenames of its versions. The mentioned below are the codenames of Mozilla Firefox versions with significant web browsing functions.
Royal Oak: It was the codename for the first version of Mozilla Firefox i.e. Firefox 0.8. This version Firefox 0.8 was released by the Mozilla Organization on 9th February 2004. The version carrying this codename also had the support of Gecko layout engine with version1.6.
As far as the significant changes of its web browsing features are concerned; this version was incorporated with changes like Windows installer and offline working. This version was facilitated with enhancement in bookmarks and download manager.
One Tree Hill: It was recognized as the codename for version like Mozilla Firefox 0.9. This version also got a support of Gecko layout engine with its version 1.6. The Mozilla Organization released this version on 15th June, 2004. In this version also, various web browsing modifications was carried out by the Mozilla Organization.
For instance, Winstripe, the latest default theme was introduced in this version of Firefox. It was also incorporated with widespread data migration. The add-ons like extension and theme manager was designed by the Mozilla in this version. In this version, there was reduction in the downloading size. The net users were facilitated with new help system, Linux installer and mail icon in this version.
Phoenix: It was the codename for the third version of Mozilla Firefox i.e. Firefox 1.0. This version Firefox 1.0 was released by the Mozilla Organization on 9th November 2004. The version carrying this codename also had the support of Gecko layout engine with version1.7.
Deer Park: It was recognized as the codename for the fourth version like Mozilla Firefox 0.9. This version also got a support of Gecko layout engine with its version 1.8. The Mozilla Organization released this version on 29th November, 2004.
According to the Mozilla Organization, all these versions of web browsers like Phoenix, Mozilla Firebird, Mozilla Firefox are considered as the old versions of the Mozilla Firefox. Though these old version are not supported by the Mozilla, its web browsing features are not outdated and it is largely used by the Firefox users.
