Troubleshooting Themes and Extensions: Sometimes add ons for Mozilla Firefox can give rise to problems. To check whether the problem is indeed caused by adding an extension, open Firefox in safe mode. After launching Firefox in Safe mode, check if the problem persists. If the problem is not occurring in safe mode then theme or extensions is most likely the cause. You will have to then check which ad-on is causing problem and then disable those add-ons.
Reset preference: So if you are not facing any problem in Safe mode but the problem was not fixed even after disabling add-ons then you will be required to revert changes that you have made to your Firefox configuration. This can be done in the following way:
1] In the safe mode dialog box check mark the 'Reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults' checkbox
2] For applying these changes, you will have to click the 'Make changes and restart ' button
Troubleshooting Plug ins: Sometimes plug ins for Mozilla Firefox such as Java, Flash, QuickTime, Adobe Reader, Windows, Media player and Real player can cause problems. First you will have to find out which plug in is causing problem and then causing problems.
