Troubleshooting Firefox
Standard Troubleshooting steps: Perform the steps given below if you experience any problems with Firefox browser. If it does not work, then go for the next one.
Restart Firefox: Close Firefox browser: From the menu that is at the top of Firefox window, you have to choose File option and then select Exit menu item. Restart your machine and then start Firefox again.
Clear Private Data: Clear Firefox's cache and cookies. Your problems will be resolved especially those associated with loading the web pages. Click on Tools menu and then choose 'Clear private data. Clear private data window will appear on the screen. Select the items given below and then press the button 'Clear private data now'.

2] Cache
3] Download History
Troubleshoot themes and extensions: It is possible that add-ons for Firefox may cause problems. To check whether any add-on is causing the problem, you have to open Firefox's safe mode.
1] Close down the Firefox window: From the menu that is at the top of Firefox window, you have to choose File option and then select Exit menu item.
2] Click the start button. Open 'All Programs' list and then navigate to Mozilla Firefox folder. In this folder choose Mozilla Firefox (Safe mode)
3] Firefox will then open up with Firefox Safe Mode dialog
4] In this dialog box, you have to click on 'Continue in safe mode'.
5] Verify if the problem exists
If the problem doesn't occur in safe mode then theme or extension is the cause.
Reset preferences: If that problem didn't occur in Safe mode but wasn't solved by disabling add-ons then you may have to revert the changes that you have made to your Firefox's configuration.
1] Close down the Firefox window: From the menu that is at the top of Firefox window, you have to choose File option and then select Exit menu item.
2] Click the start button. Open 'All Programs' list and then navigate to Mozilla Firefox folder. In this folder choose Mozilla Firefox (Safe mode).
3] Firefox will then open up with Firefox Safe Mode dialog.
4] In safe mode dialog of Firefox, you have to check mark 'Reset tool bars and controls' and reset all user preferences to Firefox defaults.
5] To apply changes, you have to click on 'Make changes and restart.
Further trouble shooting Firefox:
Make new profile: A corrupt file may cause problems when using Firefox. Create a new profile and verify whether it solves the problem
1] Start Profile manager
2] Create new profile
3] Click on the profile that you have created in Profile manager and then click on 'Start Firefox' window
If the above steps solve your problem the you should copy the data to new profile.
Clean reinstall: You can resolve some of the Firefox issues by downloading new Firefox installer from the website Mozilla.com. You have to then close Firefox window, delete Firefox application folder and then reinstall Firefox. If the above steps don't help then you should completely remove Firefox.
1] Download recent version of Firefox browser from Mozilla.com. Avoid downloading Firefox from unofficial sites that bundle Firefox browser with other software that include Google Toolbar
2] For retaining your current profile then you can create a back up copy of that profile
3] You need to uninstall Firefox. You can uninstall Firefox from OS or delete Firefox application folder.
4] Reinstall Firefox
5] When Firefox browser is launched for the very first time then Import Wizard appears and new profile is then created.
6] Now verify that the problem no longer exists.
