Resolving issues with Firefox

Restart Firefox :Firefox users frequently use this method to resolve the issue. This is the simplest and the most convenient method that you can use. If you want to close Firefox do the following:

You need to select the File option from the menu that is at the top of Firefox window. Now you need to choose Quit menu item. Once you close Firefox, restart your machine and launch your browser.

Clear private data: It has been observed that sometimes Firefox takes a long time to load web pages. You can resolve this issue by clicking on “clear private data now” button in the tools menu. If the problem still crashes or hangs even in safe mode, then the theme or extension is not responsible for the problem that you are experiencing with Firefox. But if Firefox does behave normally, then the themes are responsible for causing the problem. You have to then troubleshoot themes and extensions. If you don't know, then you can always search the Web. You will find lot of articles related to troubleshooting themes and extensions.

Reset preferences: If firefox are causing the problem, then you need to disable add-ons. If the problem is still observed, you must revert the changes that you have made to your Firefox configuration.

Even after performing the above steps, if issues continue to haunt Firefox, then making a new profile would be the best option. A corrupt profile gives rise to a number of problems. So create a new profile and copy all your data including saved passwords and bookmarks to your new profile.
