Resolving issues with Firefox
Restart Firefox :Firefox users frequently use this method to resolve the issue. This is the simplest and the most convenient method that you can use. If you want to close Firefox do the following:

If the problem still crashes or hangs even in safe mode, then the theme or extension is not responsible for the problem that you are experiencing with Firefox. But if Firefox does behave normally, then the themes are responsible for causing the problem. You have to then troubleshoot themes and extensions. Reset preferences: If firefox are causing the problem, then you need to disable add-ons. If the problem is still observed, you must revert the changes that you have made to your Firefox configuration.

Even after performing the above steps, if issues continue to haunt Firefox, then making a new profile would be the best option. A corrupt profile gives rise to a number of problems. So create a new profile and copy all your data including saved passwords and bookmarks to your new profile.
