Some days before the release of the new version Mozilla started a program in which they started offering the users using the previous versions of Firefox like the version 2 to upgrade to the new version. The users could upgrade to the new version right from the time of release.
Mozilla is continuously doing improvements in Firefox and therefore releasing new versions from time to time. The new version i.e. Firefox 3 as well is a free or open source product and therefore any body can download it. Downloading and installing Firefox is a very simple task and if you have a computer with the required system configuration then there should not be any problem in doing so.
However, has Firefox 3 features several changes; there are many changes in license agreement as well. Therefore even if you are a use of some previous version of Firefox you will need to sign the agreement once more before you upgrade to the new version. This has been done specially because of the inclusion of anti malware tools and features.
