Private data and security preferences in Firefox
Use a master password: Firefox has a unique way of protecting sensitive data such as certificates and saved passwords. It does this by encrypting them with the help of a master password. On creating a master password, it asks you to type a master password the 1st time it requires to access stored password or certificate. You can set, remove, or change the master password by clicking change master password button or by simply unchecking or checking this preference. If master password is set already then you will have to type it in that order to remove or change master password.
