There are many features, which does not find in the Internet Explorer. In addition, there is the continuous advancement in the versions of the Firefox. Actually, the main motto of the Mozilla Organization is the improvements in their various versions.
While releasing their versions, the Mozilla Organization separated their versions according to their releasing dates, codenames & suitable improvements in all those versions.
The Mozilla Organization released various browser versions like Phoenix, Mozilla Firebird, Mozilla Firefox, Mozilla Firefox2 & version 3. Theses versions are separated as the old versions, present versions, pre-release version & future version. Among this Mozilla Firefox2 is called as the old version of the Mozilla Firefox web browser. This web browser also has a various versions, which have different releasing dates, & code-names.
The first version of the Mozilla Firefox2 is the version 2.0a1 which has a code name called as Bon Echo Alpha 1. This version was released by the Mozilla organization on March 22, 2006. Version has a support of the Gecko layout engine having versio1.8.1.
The second version of the Mozilla Firefox 2 is the version 2.0a2 which also has a code name called as Bon Echo Alpha2. The Mozilla Organization released this version on May 12, 2006. In addition, this version has a support of the Gecko layout version 1.8.1.
The third version of the Mozilla Firefox 2 is the version 2.0a3 which also has a code name called as Bon Echo Alpha3. The Mozilla Organization released this version on May 26, 2006. In addition, this version has a support of the Gecko layout engine having version 1.8.1.
The next version of the Mozilla Firefox 2 is the version 2.0b1 which was released by the Mozilla Organization on July 12, 2006. This version also has a support of the Gecko layout engine having version1.8.1. This version also has a code name called as Firefox 2.0 Beta1.
There are some advanced functions like enhanced feed support, a latest installer that is based on NSIS. There is an inclusion of the programming & scripting language called as JavaScript 1.7. There are other functions like improved safety & assistance of localization for extensions.
The Firefox 2.0 Beta2 is the next version of the Mozilla Firefox 2.0, which was released by the Mozilla organization on August 31, 2006. The short form of this version is considered as 2.0b2. This version also has a support of the Gecko layout engine having version 1.8.1. There are some extensive changes in the features of this version. These changes are the inclusion of the latest Winstripe theme, latest icons related to navigations. Also in this version, there is the attachment of the button called as New Go to the URL bar. In this version, there is a facility of the refresh option for Search bar & Tab bar.
On September26, 2006, there was the launching of the version 2.0 RC 1 of the Mozilla Firefox 2 by the Mozilla Organization. This version has a support of the Gecko layout engine having version 1.8.1. The next version of RC stage is the version 2.0 RC 2 & the Mozilla launched this on October 6, 2006.
In addition, the Mozilla Organization released the third version of the RC range on October 16, 2006. This version is called as 2.0 RC 3 which also gets a support of the Gecko layout engine having version 1.8.1.
