How to set home page in Firefox
The home page is displayed every time you open Firefox. In other words, Firefox is configured to display the home page. You can also see home page by clicking the home button. By default, 'Mozilla Firefox start page is the home page of Firefox but you can easily change it to some other web page by executing a sequence of instructions.
Setting home page: There are 3 ways of setting your home page
Typing manually: By typing the web address manually in home page box, you can set any web page as your home page.
1] At the top of Firefox window, you have to click on 'Tools menu' and then choose 'Options'
2] f it is not selected already, you have to click on main icon. Main options panel will be displayed.
3] In startup box, you have to highlight the text in home page box
4] Replace text with the URL of website you want to make as your home page. For instance, if you want yahoo home page as your default home page then type 'yahoo.com'.
5] Click on OK button.
How to make current web page as home page:
Use the current page button: By clicking on current page button, it is possible to make the current web page your home page.
1] Navigate to page that you wish to set your home page.
2] At the top of Firefox window, you have to click on Tools menu' and then choose 'Options
3] If it is not selected already, you have to click on main icon. Main options panel will be displayed.
4] Click 'Use current page' button
If you have opened a group of tabs, the entire group will be set as home page. Click on 'Use bookmarks' to set any of the bookmarks as your new home page.
How to drag it to home button: For dragging it to home button do the following
1] You should navigate to that page you wish to set as your new home page.
2] You have to then click on icon that is to the left of URL and then drag it home tool bar button.
How to make multiple home pages: With Firefox, you can easily make multiple web pages, a facility that other internet browsers may not provide. If you want to create multiple home pages, you have to do the steps given below:
When you navigate to home page or start Firefox, it opens multiple tabs, depending on how many home pages you specify. Using tabbed browsing you can open multiple tabs i.e. many web pages within a Firefox window. Each web page is displayed in its own corresponding tab. Therefore, there is no need to open multiple windows and waste time in switching from one window to another.
1] At the top of Mozilla Firefox window, you have to click on Tools menu' and then choose 'Options
2] If it is not selected already, you have to click on main icon. Main options panel will be displayed.
3] Put '|' where current home page ends and then begin your next homepage.
4] Click on OK button.
How to set home page back to default: For setting home page back to default, perform the following steps:
1] At the top of Firefox window, you have to click on Tools menu' and then choose 'Options
2] If it is not selected already, you have to click on main icon. Main options panel will be displayed.
3] In start up box, you have to click on 'Restore to default' button.
4] Click on OK button.
