Firefox is indeed, one of the most popular web browsers around. One important reason, behind its ever increasing usage is it works perfectly on any operating system. So you will definitely not encounter any problem if your system is Windows, Mac or Linux. In case you want to improve or enhance speed of Firefox, you can always do very easily. So for a speedier Web browsing experience in order to open Web pages faster, you will have to do the following:</p

You will have to type the phrase in Firefox address book. The phrase is about: config. A configuration dialog box appears on the computer screen asking whether you are serious about continuing. If you are very much interested to speed up this browser, press Enter button. A complete list of configurations will be displayed. This is a very common configuration frequently used to enhance Firefox speed.

<p.You need to enter the following on filter tab and then quickly press enter button. Just type the phrase network.http.pipelining and do not forget to set its value to “true” otherwise the work will not be done. Double click next field that says

network.http.pipelining.maxrequests. Change the value of this field to “8”.

Now once again type the following phrase in the filter bed. Type the phrase “network.http.proxy.pipelining” correctly, otherwise it will be of no use and immediately hit on enter. For setting this field to true, double clicking on the field is a must. The about:config result is there, just right click on it and then select new then integer. Now, you will have to type one more phrase and press the OK button and then set its value to “5”. The phrase is content.notify.backoffcount. On filter tab, type another value and set it to true. The phrase is "network.dns.disableIPv6" .

Lastly set “ui.submenudelay” to “0”. Right click anywhere on about:config result and then select new then integer. To complete the configuration, do the following: Just rigght click anywhere on the about:config result and you will get the following configs.

1] You will have to select the new option. Then select the Boolean option. You have to then go to content.interrupt.parsing and select the true option.

2] You will have to select the new option. Then select the integer option. You have to then go to content.max.tokenizing.time and type value as 2250000

3] You will have to select the new option. Then select the integer option. You have to then go to content.notify.interva and type value 750000.

4] You will have to select the new option. Then select the Boolean option. You have to then go to content.notify.ontimer and select the true option.

5] You will have to select the new option. Then select the integer option. You have to then go to content.switch.threshold and type the value 750000

6] You will have to select the new option. Then select the integer option. You have to then go to nglayout.initialpaint.delay and type the value 0

7] You will have to select the new option. Then select the integer option. You have to then go to browser.cache.memory.capacity and type the value 35536

Although Firefox is popular, it consumes considerable amount of your computer resources. But you can tune it so that it consimes less memory. Follow the steps given below to get desired result.

1] In the address box, type about:config

Limit capacity of your cache memory.

Whenever you open a page the browser saves the web page in cache memory. For solving this problem add the option given as browser.cache.memory.capacity

. 1] Right click and select the new option. You need to choose integer option . Now type carefully the phrase browser.cache.memory.capacity and enter number 2048. Your problem will be solved.
