Firefox - A simple to use software application
Firefox search toolbar: Firefox browser comes with a search toolbar that you can customize to include search engines like MSN, Google and Yahoo. Commercial sites that contain search capabilities such as eBay, Amazon and IMDB can also be included in search toolbar. You can also add your own favorites and switch between the above mentioned services.

These themes are graphical modifications that try to imitate the look of some other famous products like safari and internet explorer or else they might be an original design. Installing themes is very simple. You have to just click on install button that is located on Firefox add-ons page. Restart the Firefox, once it is complete. You can also manage multiple themes, if required with a set up screen. Before installing any theme, check the compatibility of the theme with the version of your Firefox, otherwise you may have to face some problems.
Firefox being a mean and a lean software application, it may not include few features that you want. However, there is no need to worry, as this problem will be solved if you install extensions also called external modules. Installing these extensions is like adding specific functions to Firefox. Once you install any extension, do not forget to restart your application.
Multiple extensions can be managed with a set up screen. You have to be sure that the extension you are going to install is compatible with Firefox version. Extensions are the ones that enhance the features of Firefox. A variety of extensions are available and you can also use them to make the browser user friendly.
Firefox is an open source project, that means they can pop-up ads which is not possible for other browser as they cannot against the commercial interest of some companies. There is no need to install a large number of extensions. Keep the number reasonable, otherwise you may face few technical incompatibilities.
Besides extensions, Firefox browser also supports standard plugins. You will find them while browsing the internet. Firefox directs you to proper plugin site. Firefox plug-ins such as Java, Flash Player, Acrobat reader, RealPlayer are very popular.
The about:config command of Firefox: This command is a powerful tool for advanced Firefox user and that is why beginners should not use this tool. It displays a list of fields that you can use for changing the behavior of Firefox for a number of events. You can also change preferences that aren't accessible through normal preferences menu. For instance, using this command, you can open every pop up window into a new tab.
You can also keep a backup copy of your Firefox data so that you don't loose it. Building up the bookmarks and then loosing it is always disappointing. To avoid this, keeping a back up is always recommended.
Firefox keyboard shortcuts: To highlight the address bar, you need to press CTRL-L. For opening a new tab, you will have to press Ctrl-T. To highlight search bar, you need to type CTRL-K. For bookmarking the current page, you need to press CTRL-D.
Firefox personal toolbar: When the bookmark is added in the personal toolbar folder the icon and site title will appear in your personal folder. A few things to consider include shortening the title name. For that you need to right click on the name and then select “properties”. You have to then modify the field called “Name” or a better option would be to completely erase the title.
