Firefox - A secured web browser

As Firefox is an open source software like most other open source products, it is continuously improving. The developers are constantly active in adding in more and more features and also increasing the usability of the previous features as well. The major contributors however have been Blake Ross and Ben Goodger.

Firefox is somewhat different from the other open source programs, if we consider the consumer appeal. Earlier the open source community has been successfully developing useful pieces of software. However, they did not used to be so successful in attracting the non-technical users. This may be because Ross and Goodger liberated Firefox from the common ethos and in this way transferred the open source program like Mozilla Firefox out of the server rooms. They indeed put it directly on to Microsoft’s turf.

Firefox has successful incorporated the recent political season net based techniques that are useful at the grass root level. Because of this, happy users of Firefox are turned into missionaries or food soldiers. This is clear from an incident. Immediately the next week when Firefox was released, launch parties and celebrations were held in 392 cities in different countries. They were held by the fans and contributors of Firefox.
