Use Firefox extensions designed to block advertisements to reclaim screen space!!
The end user is the person who decides what should be and what should not be displayed on the screen of the web browsing software application. This was the approach of the developers of the Firefox web browsing software application and this approach has worked wonders. Today, the end users of the Firefox web browsing software application need not shrug their shoulders and live with the fact that advertisements on the internet shall continue to trouble. Rather, they can go in and download the necessary Firefox extensions to block all the advertisement on the internet from being displayed on the screen of the web browsing software application. Those end users who want advertisements to be displayed have the option of allowing the advertisements. The Firefox web browsing software application places absolute control in the hands of the end users. At no point of time is the end user of the Firefox web browsing software application expected to subscribe to the opinion of any other person. If an end user of the Firefox web browsing software application does not want advertisements on the screen, he or she shall enjoy a web browsing experience that does not have any advertisements on the screen.
On the other hand, those end users of the web browsing software application who do not have any problem with advertisements being displayed need not install the Firefox extension or can disable the Firefox extension from functioning. This will allow all the advertisements to be displayed as they are displayed in any other web browsing software application. It is pertinent to note that no other web browsing software application allows the end user to modify the behavior of the World Wide Web itself. Other web browsing software application wanted to restrict the end user from controlling the functioning of the web browsing software application installed in the computer. Not only does the Firefox web browsing software application give complete control to the end users as far as the functioning of the web browsing software application is concerned, it goes a step ahead and gives the control of the functioning of the World Wide Web in the hands of the end users.
In my opinion, this is a very important point of distinction between the Firefox web browsing software application and the Internet Explorer web browsing software application. Tomorrow, other browsing software applications may come up with mechanisms that may help the end users regulate the display of advertisements on their screen. However, the point that I am trying to make here is that it was the Firefox web browsing software application that thought this idea first. It was the Firefox web browsing software application that was stubborn. It was the Firefox web browser that simply refused to subscribe to the notion that the owners of the web site or the web pages had the right to determine what the end user of the web browsing software application must see. The Firefox web browsing software application places the end users at the top of the pedestal. As far as the Firefox web browsing software application is concerned, the end users of the web browsing software application is supreme. Their requirements are supreme. Their expectations are supreme. The fact that the Firefox web browsing software application has offered the Firefox extension feature and the fact that the Ad Block Firefox extension is available on the internet is a clear indication of the fact that the Firefox web browsing software application is not ready to make exceptions to this rule. As far as the Firefox web browsing software application is concerned, the end user is supreme and the end user shall remain supreme no matter what.
