In the customizing feature of the Mozilla Firefox, more emphasis is on the toolbars and different types of add-ons. These include extensions, themes, search engines, dictionaries, plug-ins etc.

The customizing option like Toolbar in the Mozilla Firefox exhibits you how to reorganize and customize the toolbars in the Mozilla Firefox. Those web users who are not used to terminology of the Mozilla Firefox, for them a toolbar is usually gray box above the area where the website is exhibited.

The main contents of the customizing toolbar option are Menu bar, Navigation bar and Bookmark toolbar. This first Menu bar contains the Mozilla Firefox web browser menus like File, Edit, Help, etc. The second content is Navigation bar, which include the Folder Bookmarks. In the Mozilla Firefox, there are two basic methods that can be used for customizing the toolbar. First method deals with rearrangement of the Toolbar items and second method deals with hiding, adding and removing toolbars. Both these methods are mentioned below.

In the first method, the web browser user can arrange the web browsing items like icons, buttons, text boxes and many more. These items can be shuffled on the Toolbar. For arranging these items, the web user can right click on the part of the toolbar, which is not a text box and then the user can click on the Customize option. So, this will pop out a dialog box for toolbar customization.

In the Mozilla Firefox, you can drag and drop any item to the toolbar and from the toolbar excluding the menu items. Also there is an option of rearranging the icons on the toolbars that ca be used whenever you want dragging and dropping the items. So after completing the arrangement of the toolbars and items according to your choice, you have to click on the Done option.

In the Mozilla Firefox, by customizing the toolbar the web users can see few special items. These special items are Separators, Spacers and Flexible spacers. The toolbar item like Separators let you to divide items on the toolbar by using a small line, which is vertical. The second toolbar item is the Spacers, which let the web users of the Firefox to differentiate items on the toolbars with a space of permanent size. It has a size, which is around 20 pixels on most of the themes. The third item is the Flexible spacers which let the web users of Firefox to differentiate the items on the toolbar by using a space. The main objective of these Flexible spacers is to resize to fill all the empty space on the toolbar. So these spacers are useful for positioning items on the right side of the toolbar.

The second method of customizing the Mozilla Firefox by using the toolbar is hiding, adding and removal of the toolbars. So by using this function, in Mozilla Firefox you can make these toolbars like Navigation and Bookmarks toolbar simply disappeared on the screen of your system. But you can not make the Menu bar disappeared because the web user can not move Menu items like File, Edit, Help, etc to a separate toolbar. So these Menu bar has to keep on the screen for all times. If you want to make this hided toolbar appeared, in the Mozilla Firefox you have to select the option like View>Toolbar and then you have the name of the toolbar which you like to show or hide.
