The installation process of the Firefox version 2.0 web browser was a pleasant surprise!!!!
I was aware of the fact that the general perception amongst all the end users of the Firefox web browsing software application was that the installation of Firefox version 2.0 was very easy and very simple to complete. However, I was aware that upgrading the web browsing software application can be a complex task. Hence I was prepared for any and every eventuality. However, the ease with which Firefox version 2.0 was installed on my computer took me by surprise.
The installation of the Firefox 2.0 web browser was so quick and so easy to complete that I never felt that I was installing a major software application on my computer. I can safely vouch that the whole process of installation of Firefox version 2.0 did not take more than a minute on my computer. In fact, a substantial portion of the minute was spent in downloading and installing updated versions of certain Firefox extensions that I had installed on my Firefox web browser. Had these Firefox extensions not been installed on my computer, I am sure the installation of Firefox version 2.0 would have been completed in less than half a minute.
My biggest worry regarding the installation of Mozilla Firefox version 2.0 was the functionality of the Firefox extensions. It was only to enjoy the functionality of the Firefox extensions that I had installed on my computer that I tried putting off the installation of Mozilla Firefox version 2.0 on my computer. Despite having downloaded the setup file of Mozilla Firefox version 2.0 on the day of the release, I preferred to use Firefox version 1.5 because I was not sure whether the updated versions of the Firefox extensions should be available on the internet. However, I could not restrain myself from installing Firefox 2.0 on my computer. The rapid installation of Firefox 2.0 on my computer followed by an even more rapid search for updates for the Firefox extensions made me feel like a fool.
After the installation of the upgraded Firefox web browser, I felt as if it was a mistake waiting for such a long time to install Firefox 2.The developers of the Firefox web browsing software application have never made the mistake of keeping any task incomplete. The search for updated versions of the Firefox extension was comprehensively done. The search for updated versions of the Firefox extensions included a search for updated versions of Firefox themes as well. While most of the end users forget that Firefox extensions and Firefox themes become to the same sub category that is of Firefox web browser add-ons, the developers did not forget this seemingly insignificant fact. Hence, despite that fact that most of the focus was on upgrades and updates of Firefox extensions, the end users simply forgot that not installing updated versions of the Firefox themes on their computer would make it impossible for them to enjoy the web browsing experience offered by Firefox 2.0
On the whole, it would not be incorrect to say that the installation of Firefox version 2.0 was a completely stress free affair. Considering the fact that the setup files of Internet Explorer version 7.0 is significantly larger than the setup file of Mozilla Firefox version 2.0, there is no doubt that the installation of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer version 7.0 would take a lot more time.
