Mozilla Firefox is one of the most responsive web browsers around!!!

There is no doubt that Mozilla Firefox is one of the most responsive web browsers around. What exactly does mean by the term ‘responsive’ when it is used with regard to web browsing software applications? The responsiveness of our web browsing software application can be assessed into categories- Short term responsiveness and Long term responsiveness.

Long term responsiveness of a web browsing software application refers to the ability of the developers of the web browsing software application to incorporate features that are required by the end users. That is to say, if there is a gap of one whole year between the release of Mozilla Firefox version 1.0 and Mozilla Firefox version 1.5, the responsiveness of Mozilla Firefox will depend on the improvements made in Mozilla Firefox to cater to the changed needs of the web browsing users and the changed circumstances in the twelve months that had passed.

The web browsing software application that caters to a customer who existed one year ago will not be a very popular web browsing software application. That is the reason why Microsoft’s Internet Explorer lost a lot of customers when Mozilla Firefox was introduced. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer was not very user friendly web browser in the first place. An added disadvantage was the fact that Internet Explorer was the least responsive web browsing software application.

Despite several updates and upgrades, certain fundamental flaws in the web browsing software application still exist. With so many fundamental flaws pending, it is no wonder that Internet Explorer does not offer new features to cater to the changed web browsing environment. It would not be incorrect to say people were using Microsoft’s Internet Explorer because there was no other alternative. When Mozilla Firefox was introduced, people got the alternative that they were searching for and switched over to Mozilla Firefox.

Further, the long term responsiveness of Mozilla Firefox is very good indeed. The changes made in Mozilla Firefox version 1.5 as compared to Firefox version 1.0 and the changes anticipated in Mozilla Firefox version 2.0 as compared to the earlier versions of Mozilla Firefox indicates that this particular web Mozilla Firefox is well tuned to the quick changing requirements of the end user of the web browser.

As far as short term responsiveness is concerned, no other web browser software application can claim to be responsive to the changing requirements of the end user in the short term. If you install Microsoft’s Internet Explorer on your computer on the first day of January and discover that your web browsing requirements have drastically changed in a week or so, you will have no other option but to wait for the next upgrade of the web browser, which may be months or even years away.

On the other hand, Mozilla Firefox is extremely responsive in the short term because it offers the facility of installing Firefox extensions on your computers. Firefox extensions are made by people who desire to make alterations in the web browser to suit their web surfing requirements. All the user has to do is search the Internet for such Firefox extensions, add-ons and plug-ins. In such a scenario, if you install Mozilla Firefox in January and discover that you have to modify the web browser’s features,

all you have to do is surf the internet and locate an extension that incorporates the features that you need. This ensures that the end user of Mozilla Firefox does not have to wait for an indefinite period of time to upgrade the web browser. If the extension is available, the user need not wait at all. This ensures that the end user never has to compromise on his requirements and needs.

That is the biggest advantage of using a web browser that is very responsive in the long term as well as the short term.
