Make sure the Mozilla Firefox extension being installed is a useful one!!!

There are many methods to determine whether the Firefox extension installed into the Firefox web browsing software application on the computer is a useful Firefox extension or not. The last thing one wants is to install a Firefox extension that has absolutely no utility for the end user. Many end users of the Firefox web browsing software application treat the Firefox extension feature as the permission to modify the web browsing software application in as many ways as one wants. While there is no doubt that the Firefox web browsing software application does not impose any formal restriction on the number of Firefox extensions and on the types of Firefox extensions that can be installed into the Firefox web browser, common sense dictates that there shall be some limitations imposed upon the end user of the Firefox web browsing software application.

To simply presume that the end user can install as many Firefox extensions as possible irrespective of the utility and usefulness of the Firefox extensions for the end user with regard to his or her work and with regard to his or her web browsing requirements is not a smart thing to do. One of the biggest complaints against the Firefox web browsing software application is the issue of memory leak in the Firefox web browser, more often than not; this is caused by installation of an unnecessarily large number of Firefox extensions into the Firefox web browser.

Now, there are two possible scenarios that can exist when a large number of Firefox extensions are installed into the computer. One, the end user may find each and every Firefox extension installed into the computer to be useful. On the other hand, the end user of the Firefox web browsing software applications may have installed the Firefox extension for reasons other than those related to logic and common sense.

As far as the first scenario is concerned, where each and every Firefox extension installed into the Firefox web browsing software application happens to be a useful Firefox extension and happens to be indispensable for the work of the end user of the Firefox web browser, the end user would have no reason to complain that the performance of the Firefox web browser is not as good as the Firefox web browser that has no Firefox extensions installed into it. It is pertinent to note that the functioning and performance of the Firefox web browser is not drastically affected by the installation of a reasonable number of Firefox extensions. At the most, there may be a minor increase in the time required by the Firefox web browsing software application to start. Other than such minor consequences, the web browsing experience of the end user using the Firefox web browsing software application is not negatively affected due to installation of Firefox extensions. Hence, while installing Firefox extensions does affect performance, it certainly does not affect the performance in such a manner that the using the Firefox web browser becomes a problem. Needless to say, this ability of the Firefox web browser to take on additional load is the result of the hard work put in by the developers of the Firefox web browser.

Now, as far as the second scenario is concerned, the only advice and I can give to such end users is to use their common sense and remove all the Firefox extensions that are not required. The number of Firefox extensions installed in your computer is not a parameter to determine the expertise of the end user in making good use of the Firefox web browser. Installing large number of Firefox extension does not necessarily mean that the end user is making good use of the Firefox web browser.
