Information about Firefox
You may observe that, when Firefox is upgraded, it becomes impossible to save or use passwords. After you upgrade to Firefox 3.0.2 saving new passwords is no longer possible. Passwords, saved previously are also not automatically filled when certain websites are visited. This issue is recently discovered with Firefox 3.0.2. Actually the passwords saved are not lost, however if your password contains any non ASCII character then Firefox 3.0.2 won't be able to write or read your passwords.
To know whether this is the cause of the problem then do the following:
1] At the top of Firefox window, where you had saved a password, click on tools menu and then choose 'Error console”

1] In location bar, you need to type about: config and then press 'Enter'. About:config warning page stating “ This may void your warranty! may appear. You should then click on ' I will be very careful, I promise! and continue to about:config page.
2] Now, search for preference browser.places.smartBookmarksVersion
3] Double click browser.places.smartbookmarksversion and modify value to 0
4] Select file option from the menu that is at the top of Firefox window and then choose Quit menu item
The next time you open Firefox, default smart Bookmarks will be created again.
Error messages in Firefox: If you receive, an error message like Firefox.exe is an invalid application then do the following:
Clean re-install
1] Open the system\temp\folder
Windows Vista: Click on Windows Start button and then type %Temp% in start search box beside the bottom of start menu. You have to then press enter
For Windows 2000 and XP: Click on Windows start button and choose 'Run' option. You have to then type %TEMP% and then click on OK button.
2] Holding down Ctrl key, press A to choose items in TEMP folder
3] Press the 'Del' button to clear all items in the temporary folder.
4] Visit getfirefox.com and then download a brand new Firefox folder.
5] Now reinstall Firefox by using instructions given at “How to install Firefox on Windows”.
Disabling the anti-virus software: Before you download and install Firefox, it is necessary to disable anti-virus software working in real time.
Firefox browser never completes loading certain sites: This may be due to a variant of Vundo Trojan. If this Trojan is indeed, the causing this problem then you will experience the following:
1] Problems in loading high traffic websites including Yahoo, Google, Facebook, MySpace, and more.
2] Affected web pages never load. Firefox activity indicator might spin for a number of minutes or else the status bar may display the “Done” message on a blank web page.
