Be it music, recipes, photos, etc. you can share it all with your family and friends.

Firefox 3.1 beta is going to release soon. Firefox 3.1 Alpha 2, named “Shiretoko”, released some time back and improvements to the same are being made. Let us take a look at the features that the beta version has to offer to us. The beta version is going to support the Ogg Vorbis audio and video formats. Although, these formats are not used as widely as the mp3 formats; they will support HTML5 in the browser. This means that Firefox 3.1 will support HTML audio and video tags. Mozilla is planning on a code freeze in the last week of September, so that the beta will be released somewhere in mid-November.
Firefox 3.1 is using the TraceMonkey Javascript engine. Therefore, it will be even faster than Google Chrome’s V8. TraceMonkey will boost the performance of Firefox 3, which will help it to compete with other browsers. TraceMonkey will add to SpiderMonkey’s code and together they will make history. Firefox 3.1 has the some unique next generation features. It has increased support for CSS3. In addition, there will be improvements to the “Awesome bar”.
Multiple tag editing, deletion of URL records and changes in the password manager are also expected. Therefore, there is a lot to look forward to with the next release. Currently, Mozilla developers are busy removing bugs from the code. Mozilla is planning for a late 2008 or early 2009 release for Firefox 3.1 if everything works on schedule.
