1] Select Bookmarks menu that is at the top of Firefox window. Your bookmarks list will appear
2] Depending on the kind of browser from where you have imported, the bookmarks will appear in a named folder in Bookmarks list.
1. For internet explorer, the folder name will be “From internet explorer”
2. For opera, the folder name will be From Opera
3. Bookmarks that are imported from other internet browsers follow similar pattern
3] If source bookmarks were in hierarchy of folders then folder structure will be preserved inside specially named folder.
4] If you want, you can relocate your imported bookmarks to some other folder

Default bookmarks shown in the Bookmarks folder: Your bookmarks are always associated with any profile that you use. Most Firefox users use the default profile. There are a number of instances when Firefox browser creates a new profile for you. When the new profile gets activated, it always contains default bookmarks and you may think that you have completely lost your bookmarks
The troubleshooting shooting sequence given below will help you to find out if any new profile is created and will enable you to recover bookmarks from previous one.
1] Go to Firefox profile folder
2] If there's only 1 profile folder then go to next step
3] In this location, if there are multiple profile folders, then obviously there are multiple profiles. More than 1 profile folder means Firefox has made a new profile. In such a case, you should instruct Firefox browser to use profile that contains your saved bookmarks, by simply opening Firefox profile manager and then selecting the right profile
Restoring bookmarks backups: If Firefox has closed unexpectedly because of loss of power or any other unexpected event then the file where you have stored your bookmarks can become corrupted. That is why your bookmarks might not be available in Firefox. If bookmarks are lost within last 5 days then they can be restored from a set of backups that are maintained by Firefox.
Note that each and every folder is always named something given below: xxxxxxxx. Here xxxxxxxx is a random string of eight characters. is the name of profile. For instance, the folder that contains default profile is always named as xxxxxxxx.default.
